Garlic Noodles

The Best Asian Garlic Noodles

These Garlic Noodles are amazing and this is, by far, one of my favorite recipes.  They’re pan fried egg noodle prepared with a simple oriental sauce. It has a fantastic garlic taste with a perfect balance of sweet and sour, cilantro and a splash of chili flakes for a little kick.  This dish is popular on the menu at P.F. Chang’s and it only takes 10 minutes to make.  So if you’re a garlic fan and you love Noodles, you should definitely give this recipe a try.

Garlic Noodles High Temperature

On a side note, most Chinese recipes, like these Garlic Noodles, are cooked with very high temperatures and heat that exceeds the standard house hold Teflon pans.  That’s why Professional cooks and those rare few individuals at home use Woks.

Now it’s nice to have a non stick pan in the kitchen but we’re starting to learn about how bad that stuff is for our bodies, if consumed, and we all know it scratches easy.  So I’m featuring “The Rock” by Starfrit, in this cooking video ,for obvious reasons. So far, I am really happy with this pan and I’m not getting paid to say it either.  CLICK HERE if you’re interested in looking into them for your self.

Lamb Chops – Rack of Lamb with Aju

Lamb Chops Main Pic

Amazing Lamb Chops

These Lamb Chops I cooked and prepared from scratch completely blew my mind.  It was as good as any Prime Rib I’ve ever had, and that’s saying something.  The real crazy thing is, it only took me 15 minutes from start to finish and I was eating the most succulent tender Lamb Chops you could ever wish for.  And the flavor… Ah… UNBELIEVABLE!  I’m telling you this because normally I’m not a fan of lamb.  But these Lamb Chops are unreal.  I would recommend this recipe to any fan or non believer out there because these meaty bites of heaven are a slam dunk in any kitchen.

Update:  Since this recipe was published I put together another video tutorial for a Rack of Lamb.  This first recipe was so amazing I started exploring other ways to prepare Lamb Chops and this is what I came up with.  A “Garlic Crusted Rack of Lamb!”  It takes the same amount of time to cook and prepare and it’s equally amazing yet very distinctive from this Lamb Chops Recipe.  I highly recommend it!

I also have a Rack of Lamb recipe with a Mint Panko Crust you might want to consider, along with several spare rib recipes if you’re interested.  Just search for “Ribs” in the search bar on this page.

Lamb Chops Ingredients:

1 Rack of Lamb, 8 bones
4 oz Water
2 tbsp Butter
Salt & Pepper to taste

Sear the Rack of Lamb over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes on all sides and bake at 400 degrees f for 10 minutes.  Then Cut into Lamb Chops and serve with Aju.

Mongolian Beef Ribs

The Best Mongolian Beef Ribs

There are several different ways to prepare Mongolian Beef Ribs.  I decided to go with the Asian Style Flanked Rib because I often see them at Chinese Buffets.  I also use the slow and low method to ensure I get some tender meat.  The sauce I use as a marinade but I don’t separate it from the ribs when I bake them.  I cook the ribs right in it.  Then afterwards I add the sauce back into a pan to reduce and thicken further by adding corn starch.  Once it caramelizes, I drizzle the glaze over the top of the rib meat and sprinkle freshly chopped scallions.

Flanked Mongolian Beef Ribs Ingredients:

2 lbs Flanked Beef Ribs

Sauce
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon Ginger, minced
1 tablespoon Garlic, chopped
1 tsp Hoisin Sauce (optional)
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Rice Wine Vinegar
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp Chili Flakes (optional)

1 tsp Corn Starch deluded in 1 tbsp of Water
2 Green Onions, Chopped into Scallions

Bake 300° Fahrenheit for 2 hours.  Be sure to watch the short video tutorial and I’ll show you how to make these amazing Mongolian Beef Ribs.
