The Best Sangria

I love a good Sangria.  It’s always so refreshing.  And, what’s there to complain about?  Ingredients include Red Wine, Lemonade, cold soda, Brandy, schnapps and fruit.  Everything about this recipe screams party.  Though it’s normally a drink served in the summer time, I created this Peach Sangria for the fall.  I felt like this would be a great Thanksgiving holiday drink served with all of the traditional recipes that have been handed down to us throughout the years and once you try it, I think you’ll agree.

My Sangria Secret

A good Sangria recipe is going to be packed with flavor and sweetness that balances your meal and should always be served cold.  That’s why I like to make this chillable red wine with Frozen Fruit, instead of fresh.  Sliced peaches can act as ice cubes if they’re previously frozen and they add a wonderful flavor to the mix.  The Lemonade, Mountain Dew and Peach Schnapps adds a wonderful sweet and sour to the wine.  The Brandy binds all of the ingredients together and makes this drink what it is.  Technically, it’s not a sangria with out it.

Be sure to check out some of my favorite vegetable and Thanksgiving recipes, that are in season this time of year, like this Acorn SquashGarlic Mashed PotatoesCroissant Stuffing with MushroomsSweet and Sour Brussels Sprouts, and folks rave about this Green Bean Casserole.

Peach Sangria Ingredients:

1 part Frozen Peach Slices for Ice cubes
1 to 2 parts Red Wine
1 part Peach Schnapps
1/2 part Lemonade
1/2 part Mountain Dew
1/4 part Brandy

Follow the simple instructions in the video tutorial to make this Peach Sangria and I’ll show you just how easy it is to make.

Poor Man's Gourmet Kitchen

I'm just a regular guy in search of his bliss and I find that bliss in food and all of its many cultural differences. A very seasoned and experience chef taught me how to use my pallet to best serve and prepare a dish with all of its natural flavors from other foods before ever introducing “forced flavoring”, such as salt. My goal isn’t just to teach how to incorporate these products into simple gourmet dishes but to show, how easy, it can be done from anyone's Kitchen with cheaper, convenient substitutions that will not only blow your mind, but insure that most no one will be able to ever tell the difference! Welcome to The Poor Man’s Gourmet Kitchen!
