Who Loves Fresh Fish?

My First Year in Texas

It doesn’t get much better than this…bring in the fresh catch of the day…then go home and turn it into something like this. A little butter, salt and pepper, and a fresh squeeze of lemon…..This isn’t another recipe, I’m just sharing how grateful I am to be living in a place that I can drive in 3 different directions and be ocean side catching fish in a matter of minutes!  I’d like to thank my brother Chad for the idea he had and the extra push he gave me to start something like this.  I’d also like to thank Joel Osteen for the kind words and messages he delivers that touch so many people.  And for those of you that don’t know who he is, look him up.  I’ve been able to reshape my thinking the last few months in time I’ve needed it the most.  If it weren’t for the love of my wife, my family and the love of God and his constant belief in me when I’m feeling weak, I wouldn’t be able to get up every morning with a positive attitude and motivation to keep pushing and strive to be a better man.  Thanks again

Poor Man's Gourmet Kitchen

I'm just a regular guy in search of his bliss and I find that bliss in food and all of its many cultural differences. A very seasoned and experience chef taught me how to use my pallet to best serve and prepare a dish with all of its natural flavors from other foods before ever introducing “forced flavoring”, such as salt. My goal isn’t just to teach how to incorporate these products into simple gourmet dishes but to show, how easy, it can be done from anyone's Kitchen with cheaper, convenient substitutions that will not only blow your mind, but insure that most no one will be able to ever tell the difference! Welcome to The Poor Man’s Gourmet Kitchen!
