Shrimp Burger style Po’ boy Sandwich

2 Shrimp burger style Po’ boy sandwich’s. One regular(right) and one extra crispy.

The Best Shrimp Burgers

If you love shrimp and you’ve been craving big bites of it, through and through, this Shrimp Burger Recipe is for you. I show you how to make shrimp patties that have about a 1/2 pound of meat, in each one, and are 3/4 of an inch thick, once they’re cooked. I show you how to make two different styles of shrimp burgers, too; regular and/or extra crispy.

One regular Shrimp Burger with a seasoned and sautéed Shrimp patty.

Regular Shrimp Burgers

The regular Shrimp Burger is my wife’s favorite because it has more of a grilled chicken style texture to the shrimp patty, even though it isn’t actually grilled. It is made with a ground and seasoned patty with out the seasoned deep fried crispy crust around the outside and it’s delicious. It can be grilled, though, if you prefer it that way, as long as it holds it’s integrity, once it’s removed from the freezer, the patties grill just fine.

One extra crispy Shrimp burger made with a ground seasoned shrimp patty, pan fried with a panko crust.

Extra Crispy Shrimp Burgers

Personally, I do prefer the extra crispy Shrimp Burger because it’s got a pan fried, seasoned panko crust, just like fried shrimp should have. I had just a few other simple ingredients to the burger, including a few condiments you may or may not want to add but, I’m telling you, you should give this a try before you change up anything.

Sloppy Joes – Classic Sandwich Recipe

sloppy-joe-main-pic

This Sloppy Joes recipe will take you back to those “melt in your mouth” childhood days when you didn’t stop eating until your stomach hurt.  Even my wife mentioned she felt like Igor in the Disney Classic, “Ratatouille”, when his eyes lit up like light bulbs as he proceeded to drop his pen to the floor after he took his first bite.  “It’s that good”, she said.  So without further ado or more bragging, I give you another I give you Sloppy Joes!

Also, if you’re interested in other sandwich or burger recipes, I highly recommend the following.  I think you’ll find the titles are, at least, quite intriguing.  Bison Burger, Turkey Burger Sliders, Double Ground Beef Burger & Cheese Burger Pot Pie.

The Best Cheeseburger Pot Pie

This Cheeseburger Pot Pie sure is a fun twist on a traditional cheeseburger and a Pot Pie. Besides, who doesn’t truly love a puff pastry or pie crust cooked to perfection.  Personally, I think combining these two recipes is Genius.  But don’t just take my word for it.  Originally, I saw this idea posted on Instagram and I decided that I needed to try it for my self and I suggest that you do the same.

Make a Crispy Cheeseburger Pot Pie

As you’ve probably already guessed, the only difference between a regular burger and this Cheeseburger Pot Pie is that it isn’t made with a bun, it is baked with a Pastry.  So, you should treat it as such.

The one thing I learned, after I filmed the video, was that I should have baked the bottom crust first, for approximately 10 minutes, before I added the other ingredients and baked them altogether, as instructed.  This ensures that the entire pot pie turns out crispy and it makes a much more pleasant experience eating it like a hamburger.

Cheese Burger Pot Pie Ingredients:

2 Puff Pastry Sheets 12″ X 12″
1 lbs Ground Beef
1 egg for egg wash
1 pickle, sliced
Ketchup and Mustard, to taste
Salt and Pepper to taste

Bake the bottom crust for 10 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, then add the rest of the ingredients to make the Cheeseburger Pot Pie and bake again for an additional 15 Minutes.
