Stromboli Recipe – How to make Stromboli Supreme

My Stromboli is Huge!

I’m using enough pizza dough for one 14″ Pizza to make this Stromboli. It’s approximately 2 ft long so it makes it real easy to cut off a slice, just like you would a sub sandwich, to serve to family and friends.  Make yours however you want but I highly recommend making it this way.  The Stromboli is both fun to make and equally impressive when it’s served.

This Stromboli recipe follows the idea of a Supreme Pizza with fresh veggies and Italian meats but you can put whatever you want in it.  And that’s the best part.  I love vegetarian Stromboli’s because they have so much flavor.  Broccoli and Cheese Stromboli… Spinach, Onion and Mushroom Stromboli (Chicken)… Are you starting to see where I’m going with this?  The possibilities are endless!

What else you’ll Need

You may need a good Marinara or Pizza Sauce for dipping so I’ll include a link for that down below.  You will also find a link for pizza dough in the ingredients if you need a recipe for that too.  Both recipes are restaurant quality and worthy of hanging on to or even sharing with friends and family.  Just be sure to tell them where you got it!

Stromboli Supreme Ingredients:

1 Pizza Dough (Click Here for Recipe)
4 Italian Sausages, sliced
1/2 bag Pepperoni, sliced
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 Red Onion, chopped
1/2 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
2 Roma Tomatoes
1 Green Onion, chopped
1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
3 Fresh Basil leaves, chopped
2 Garlic Cloves, chopped
1/3 cup Black Olives, sliced
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 tsp Oregano, dried
1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
1/2 Lemon, freshly squeezed

1 egg for egg wash and some Olive Oil for the Stromboli Crust to shine.  Just follow the instructions in the short video tutorial and I’ll show you exactly how to make an amazing Stromboli.

The Best Hamburger Pizza

This Hamburger Pizza recipe is amazing and it will trip you out if you’ve never had one before. It’s absolutely the best of both worlds, “Fo-Show”! This Pizza tastes just like a double bacon cheese burger, it’s that good! But don’t take my word for it.  This recipe is built exactly like a hamburger from the bottom up, only upside down.  So think of the Pizza crust like a hamburger bun, then work your way out from there and you’ll get the picture!

Hamburger Pizza Ingredients:

Pizza Dough
1 lbs Ground Beef, cooked
1/4 cup Mayonnaise 1
1/2 cup Lettuce, chopped
1 Tomato, sliced
2 slices Red Onion
1 Pickle, Sliced
3 slices Bacon, cooked
3 Provolone Slices
1/4 cup Cheddar Cheese, grated
1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
Olive to brush the crust
Salt and Pepper to taste, ground beef

Bake your Hamburger Pizza at 500° Fahrenheit for 8 minutes and serve!

A Canoe Calzone.  Yup, that’s what I’m calling it.  And isn’t the name so fitting.  Sure, maybe this really exists somewhere else and maybe it’s even got another name, but for now, this is how I’ll refer to it.  The truth is, I didn’t come up with it either.  When I sat down and ordered a Calzone off a Menu at a Restaurant here recently, this is how it came, more or less.  And I felt like it was a good idea, minus the Marinara Sauce they served because it really sucked.  But if you want to serve yours with Marinara or Pizza Sauce, more power to ya.  I’m sure your recipe will taste just fine.  But, if you need a Pizza Sauce recipe, I’ve got one for you.  Just CLICK HERE!  Also, if you are needing a Pizza Dough recipe CLICK HERE as well for the original post, because you are going to need one if you’re going to make this Canoe Calzone Recipe.  You can also make one giant calzone by following this recipe.
