Seared Salt and Pepper Ahi Tuna

Seared Ahi Tuna

There are literally hundreds of different ways to cook Ahi Tuna but I like mine Seasoned and Seared.  The best part about this recipe isn’t that it’s very simple and delicious, no, but it comes with a fantastic Wasabi Vinaigrette that has a Soy and Sesame influence.  Tell me that doesn’t sound superb!  Sushi fans alike come running for this appetizer anywhere it’s served.  I’ve seen similar recipes served at The Outback, Cheese Cake Factory and P.F. Chang’s even.  All of which have their own unique style.  I think that this one is the easiest to do and that anyone the loves tuna is going to like it.

Seared Ahi Tuna Ingredients:

1 Ahi Tuna Steak
1 tbsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Kosher Salt

1/2 tsp Lemon Juice

Poor Man's Gourmet Kitchen

I'm just a regular guy in search of his bliss and I find that bliss in food and all of its many cultural differences. A very seasoned and experience chef taught me how to use my pallet to best serve and prepare a dish with all of its natural flavors from other foods before ever introducing “forced flavoring”, such as salt. My goal isn’t just to teach how to incorporate these products into simple gourmet dishes but to show, how easy, it can be done from anyone's Kitchen with cheaper, convenient substitutions that will not only blow your mind, but insure that most no one will be able to ever tell the difference! Welcome to The Poor Man’s Gourmet Kitchen!
