Kalua Pork Burrito

The Best Kalua Pork Burrito

This Kalua Pork Burrito is so refreshing it’s like a tall cold glass of water, it’s that good.  Hawaiian meets Tex-Mex and it’s not crudded up with too many spices or seasonings either.  In fact, the only added seasoning in this entire combo is Hawaiian Sea Salt and Lime Juice.  So the great thing about that is you’re completely relying on the flavors of all of the other natural ingredients.  But, if you “just gotta”, add Cumin to the pulled pork.

Pork Burrito made from Leftovers

Carnitas is what you normally here or read on a menu when you’re ordering a Pork Burrito.  But this particular burrito was the direct results of my leftover Kalua Pork that was served up on my birthday.  So whether you call it Carnitas or just another Pork Burrito, you’re going to love this Wrap.  And just so you know, the list of recipes that can be made from a Kalua Pork Roast goes on and on and I’ll list the recipes I’ve already posted down below as well as the original Kalua Pork Roast recipe.  Also, I’ve got a great Seafood Enchilada recipe that will blow you’re mind, along with the original Salsa recipe I use in this video.

How to Make Movie Theater Popcorn

Popcorn Main pic

I’ve researched Movie Theater Popcorn, the real stuff, and it’s very easy and simple to make. The problem is that the ingredients aren’t readily available at just any grocery store but there’s a way you can do it your self and still have it turn out the same if you have some of these ingredients below.

There’s virtually only 5 things you need to know.  What kind of Oil, Seasoning and Type of Corn to use and of course what Temperature and technique.  I say technique because it is possible to do this in a standard frying pan and still have it turn out great.

I use a 12″ deep dish pan with a lid and I cook dialed in to about a 7, on a scale of 1-10, on the stove top.  I use Butter flavored Coconut Oil, Flavacol popcorn salt(also butter flavored) and white, not yellow, popcorn kernels.  There are knock off oils and seasonings in grocery stores but the’re not at all the same.  So I ended up juggling a few sites between their outrageous shipping fees to order the salt and I have since found that making your own butter flavored coconut oil is virtually the same.  Besides, who needs a 5 gallon bucket of popping oil stored away in their cupboard.

Movie Theater Popcorn Ingredients:

3/4 cup White Popcorn Kernels
1/4 cup Butter flavored Coconut Oil
1/2 tsp Butter flavored Flavacol Popcorn Salt

Melt and mix 1 part salted butter with 1 part coconut oil or use premade Butter flavored Coconut Oil.  Regular fine grain salt can replace the Butter flavored Flavacol popping salt if necessary.  But, if you can find it, it’s worth it and it makes all the difference in the world.

Stuffed Lobster with Creamy Shrimp, Scallops and Crab Meat

Stuffed Lobster Main Pic

The Best Stuffed Lobster

I’m completely and utterly in love with this Stuffed Lobster recipe.  Just like the title says, it’s got creamy Shrimp, Bay Scallops and Crab Meat mixed into the Stuffing with a light drop biscuit breading and Bacon.  There is of course a few other ingredients to spice it up a bit but tell me that list didn’t already seal the deal in your mind when you read it to yourself!

Stuffed Lobster Preparation

I can’t stress enough, the importance of having a good set of Seafood Shears when you’re cutting Shell Fish.  Starfrit sent me this pair to use and demonstrate in this video recipe and I personally think they are awesome.  They cut in reverse, which seems to give the blade some added strength when I grip the handles and apply pressure.  So if you’re interested in a pair like this, I highly recommend this set next time you’re cutting shells.

Also, this recipe is designed to heavily stuff two lobsters with seafood but I found that just one can easily be shared between two people.  So that’s something to consider when you’re making this.  2 Stuffed Lobsters will easily feed 4 to 6 people and my Video Tutorial will teach everything you need to know.

Also I’ve included 2 other Lobster recipes down below and the Drop Biscuit recipe you’ll be needing to complete this Stuffed Lobster recipe.
