{"id":1780,"date":"2014-10-01T22:28:54","date_gmt":"2014-10-02T05:28:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/?p=1780"},"modified":"2019-02-11T08:06:30","modified_gmt":"2019-02-11T15:06:30","slug":"grilled-rockfish","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/grilled-rockfish\/","title":{"rendered":"Grilled Rockfish"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_1249.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1779\" src=\"http:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_1249-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Grilled Rockfish\" width=\"725\" height=\"543\" srcset=\"https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_1249-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_1249-scaled-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_1249-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_1249-700x525.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 725px) 100vw, 725px\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<h2>A Grilled Rockfish is a Waste!<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Grilled Rockfish isn&#8217;t one of my favorite recipes. &nbsp;But if you&#8217;re going to do it, there&#8217;s a few things you should know and understand. &nbsp;This Butter Marinade is probably the best ingredients to apply to a Rockfish, so in a way, you&#8217;re in good hands. &nbsp;However, taking it to the grill, it loses so much of the brilliance this Marinade can offer a fish like this. &nbsp;So even though I demonstrate this recipe as Grilled Rockfish&nbsp;in the Video, I would still recommend that it be wrapped in tinfoil first, then grilled. &nbsp;If not, apply the ingredients in a melted form after you&#8217;ve salt, peppered and grilled your fish. &nbsp;That or go back to the old pan fried method, which is excellent.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Kkd7PzcdUAg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Grilled Rockfish Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>2 Rockfish Filet&#8217;s<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n1 chopped Green Onion<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp fresh chopped Parsley<br \/>\n5 chopped Capers<br \/>\n1 chopped Garlic Clove<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp Lemon Zest<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp Dill<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp Tarragon<br \/>\n2 tbsp Softened Butter<br \/>\nSalt and Pepper to Taste<\/p>\n<p>3 Lemon Slices for the grill and presentation<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Make sure that all the Ingredients are chopped really small and fine before you add them to the butter. &nbsp;Then mix all the Ingredients together and allow the butter to marinate for about 10 minutes before you butter you Rockfish. &nbsp;Also Salt and Pepper both sides of your fillet&#8217;s before you marinate. &nbsp;Then put on hot grill with medium high heat until the edges turn color, then flip once (2 to 3 min). &nbsp;For more flavor, grill the fish first with salt and pepper only, then add the ingredients after they&#8217;ve been melted in a pan. &nbsp;Or, you can wrap this fish in Tin Foil with the Herb and Butter coating on the filet, then grill. &nbsp;You can even take this Grilled Rockfish recipe to the stove and do a Classic Pan Fry if you prefer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Grilled Rockfish is a Waste!
