{"id":1776,"date":"2014-09-29T20:52:43","date_gmt":"2014-09-30T03:52:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/?p=1776"},"modified":"2019-02-11T08:07:26","modified_gmt":"2019-02-11T15:07:26","slug":"tomato-and-cream-pink-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/tomato-and-cream-pink-sauce\/","title":{"rendered":"Tomato and Cream Pink Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><\/h3>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_1219.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1774\" src=\"http:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_1219-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Pink Sauce\" width=\"725\" height=\"543\" srcset=\"https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_1219-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_1219-scaled-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_1219-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/poormansgourmetkitchen.com\/devsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/IMG_1219-700x525.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 725px) 100vw, 725px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWhat is Pink Sauce?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pink Sauce is this incredible little secret that most Italians know about. &nbsp;It&#8217;s described in several different ways and has a few different versions of the recipe that can be found all over the web if you know what you&#8217;re looking for. &nbsp;It&#8217;s known as a Vodka Sauce, Tomato and Cream Sauce or simply a Pink Sauce. &nbsp;The first time I had it, though, I instantly fell in love with it, but it was called something entirely different, and unfortunately I don&#8217;t remember what the chef said when he recommend it to me. &nbsp;But, interestingly enough, it had seafood, bacon and peas in it and it was spicy. &nbsp;So Good!<\/p>\n<address>This is just one of the ways I make it and it infuses the freshness of hand picked tomatoes with a few classic traditions and some not so classic. &nbsp;For example, I cook the pasta in the sauce instead of cooking it separately. &nbsp;The reason why I do this is for the sake of the sauce. &nbsp;I like to reduce it down so it gets thicker, but I also like the flavor of the Pink Sauce to be through in through my noodle. &nbsp;In this particular case, fully in beaded in the Rigatoni Pasta. &nbsp;Plus Rigatoni has those nice ridges around the outside, much like Penne Rigate, that helps to grip the sauce around the funnel noodle so you get a nice flavorful bite. &nbsp;Also, I use Red wine and Beef Broth, no vodka. &nbsp;I find that this works really well and you&#8217;re just going to have to trust me on this one because it&#8217;s really good.<\/address>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/08kO7pr8aow\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Pink Sauce Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<address>1 lbs Rigatoni Pasta (Penne Rigate or Fettuccini is fine)<\/address>\n<address><strong>In a Blender combine the following<\/strong><br \/>\n6 to 8 Roma Tomatoes (fill 3\/4 of Blender)<br \/>\n1\/2 Red Onion<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 19px; font-style: italic; line-height: 1.6842;\">5 fresh Basil Leaves<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 19px; font-style: italic; line-height: 1.6842;\">1 large Garlic Clove<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 19px; font-style: italic; line-height: 1.6842;\">2 cups Beef Broth<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 19px; font-style: italic; line-height: 1.6842;\">1 1\/2 tbsp Italian Seasoning (Sage, Majoram, Basil, Rosemary, Thyme)<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 19px; font-style: italic; line-height: 1.6842;\">1 tbsp dried Oregano<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 19px; font-style: italic; line-height: 1.6842;\">2 tbsp Brown Sugar<\/span><br \/>\n<\/address>\n<address><strong style=\"font-size: 19px; font-style: italic; line-height: 1.6842;\">Add Blender Ingredients to a hot Pan on the Stove<\/strong><\/address>\n<address><span style=\"font-family: 'Noto Serif', serif; font-size: 19px; font-style: italic; font-weight: normal; line-height: 31.9998px;\">1 tbsp Sriracha (or Chile Flakes)<\/span><br \/>\n1 cup Whipping Creme<br \/>\n1\/3 cup Red Wine<br \/>\n2 tbsp Olive Oil<br \/>\n1\/4 cup Parmesan Cheese<br \/>\nSalt and Pepper to taste (usually not needed)<\/address>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is Pink Sauce?
